Building Students' Confidence with YouTube Video Quizzes

If you are a teacher using YouTube videos in your class, Kung Fu Quiz is a must-have tool. Its easy, it's fun, and most importantly, it's effective.
I am a committed teacher and student advocate with a strong focus on academic mentoring and language learning. I recently worked at Islington College as a General English Paper Mentor, where I planned classroom activities to boost students' self-esteem and help them understand complex academic concepts.
Using Kung Fu Quiz to Enhance Engagement
In my A Level EGP classes, I often use YouTube videos during lessons. Using Kung Fu Quiz has honestly been really helpful as it has allowed me to embed quizzes into the videos. This platform has made it easier to keep my students engaged, especially those with shorter attention spans.
What I really appreciate is how simple and easy Kung Fu Quiz is to use, both for me and for my students.
Building Confidence Through Fun Learning
As a mentor, I primarily focus on helping students gain confidence. I celebrate even the smallest wins, be it through merit based reward or even a small sweet treat.
Moving farther from dry lectures and towards active engagement is the best way students can benefit from your teaching. Whether it is for learning a new language, or understanding complex topics, students become the most attentive when we use interactive digital tools.
The best part? It enabled my students to take on challenging topics without worrying about making blunders in the face of the entire class.
Reflecting on Classroom Impact
I observed how much better children learnt when they were genuinely enjoying the process. Students are involved, energetic, and enjoying themselves while learning, which helps the lessons stick.
Overall, I would definitely recommend Kung Fu Quiz to teachers working with lower secondary, secondary, or even higher-level students.
