Joy of Teaching the Early Years with Kung Fu Quiz

Published on 16 Jan, 2026

Starting as a PreK teacher is far more challenging than it seems. Classrooms are full of energy, curiosity, and little moments of chaos.

I still remember my first class as a teacher. I was caught in between screaming kids, crying kids, and what do I do? I took a deep breath, and we started off by singing songs and got into phonics. What began as chaos turned out to be a fun lesson. Since then, I've taught across PreK, Elementary, Secondary, and even an undergraduate tutoring service.

After experiencing it all, I find peace with my early years. There's something special about teaching the basics and watching children's faces light up when they get an answer right. That gives me the true joy of teaching.

My Students Love Kung Fu Quiz

I began my virtual learning journey four years ago, exploring new ways of teaching and delivering outstanding classroom experiences. That's when I discovered Kung Fu Quiz. It instantly aligned with my teaching style, helping me integrate the YouTube videos I normally use for Science, English, and Maths.

The impact was immediate. My lessons became more interesting, and today, kids look forward to my lessons. My sessions have improved a lot, my students are more attentive than they were before, and it has created a bigger and better perspective on the topics we cover.

The change in my sessions was amazing:

  • Kids who used to daydream are now watching the videos closely.
  • Everyone wants to answer the quiz questions.
  • Instead of asking "Is it time to go yet?", I hear "What's next?!"

Bringing fun, curiosity, and interactivity into learning isn't just a teaching strategy. It's how learning becomes joyful. And with teaching tools like Kung Fu Quiz, that joy reaches every student in every class session.

Here's an example of how I create a Kung Fu Quiz for my class:

From One Teacher to Another

Today, with so many tech tools and teaching tips available online, it's easy to feel overwhelmed. If you're new to teaching or looking to bring fresh ideas into the classroom, start with a small, achievable teaching goal.

Love your students wholeheartedly, as they notice when your care is real. Celebrate their curiosity, encourage their questions, and take joy in their little victories.

Above all, keep learning and experimenting with new ways to make your lessons come alive. A classroom filled with energy, fun, and genuine connection will leave a mark on you, your students, and the parents.
